The client

The Next Tech Brussels Plan is a five-year plan financed by the Brussels-Capital Region, that aims to stimulate the growth of companies that are active in information and communications technologies (ICT).

The plan contains a series of measures boosting entrepreneurship and innovation in the Capital, such as accompanying companies in their digital transformation, creating awareness around ongoing digital initiatives in the Region, accentuating collaborations between private and public actors and providing with online tools to help businesses grow.

01. The Request

DIGITAG won the call for proposals through the development of short duration training courses in the field of information and communications technologies.

The goal of our mission was to teach people to understand and use key technologies, namely growth marketing, design thinking and the lean and agile methods and to accompany Brussels’ businesses in their digital transformation by introducing them to tools such as the Internet of Thing, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Virtual and Augmented reality.

02. Our Response

  • DIGITAG divided the Next Tech project into 3 categories: keynotes, workshops and certifications, aiming to create an innovative and friendly technological ecosystem.
  • DIGITAG used its own methodologies – growth marketing, design thinking and the lean and agile methods, to develop and implement the project itself. We also partnered with six coworking spaces around Brussels to increase the visibility of our events.
  • Thanks to a fully coordinated team, DIGITAG built an omni-channel advertising strategy that included social media ads (on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Adwords), emailings and newsletters, and a promotional video. We also designed print materials and partnered with a communication agency to spread the news about our events to the press.
  • The cornerstone of our campaign was the event landing page that centralized all registrations, and the key startups methodologies.

03. The results

  • The Next Tech keynotes were a great success. The seven events attracted over 200 people from all professional backgrounds and our speakers trained participants on key startup methodologies used to scale and grow digital businesses.
  •  We used a funnel approach on social media to attract,
convert and acquire our audiences: we designed awareness, retargeting, conversion as well as acquisition campaigns online.
  • For the Next Tech landing page, key showcase of the campaign, we implemented advanced tracking systems that allowed us to perform qualitative data analysis to optimize our social media campaigns.
  • As a result, we were successfully able to create partnerships with technological companies and
became experts in the coordination of technological projects.
